Cake Decorating Techniques
Cake Decorating Techniques is the second course in our 3-part Cake Decorating Series and is designed for students who are ready to expand their foundational skills into more advanced decorating techniques and artistic cake design.
Building on the skills learned in Cake Decorating Foundations, this hands-on course introduces students to elevated decorating methods used to create more refined, detailed, and modern cake designs.
Throughout this 4-week course, students will strengthen their decorating precision while learning a variety of trending and professional-level techniques in a fun, creative, and supportive environment.
Students will learn:
• How to make and work with royal icing
• Royal icing stencil techniques
• How to pipe royal icing flowers
• Modern drip cake techniques
• How to construct and decorate double barrel cakes
• Advanced piping and finishing methods
• Techniques for adding texture, dimension, and detail to cakes
Participants will create and decorate cakes throughout the course while continuing to build confidence, creativity, and technical decorating skills.
Students should already have a basic understanding of cake decorating fundamentals and experience working with cakes prior to enrolling in this course.
All tools and supplies are included in the cost of the course.
Course meets once per week for 2 hours over 4 weeks.
This course is ideal for students who have completed Cake Decorating Foundations or who already have beginner-level decorating experience and are ready to advance their skills further.
