Cake Decorating Artistry

Cake Decorating Artistry is the third course in our 3-part Cake Decorating Series and is designed for students ready to take their decorating skills to the next level through fondant work, stacked cake construction, and advanced decorative techniques.

Building on the skills developed in Cake Decorating Foundations and Cake Decorating Techniques, this hands-on course focuses on creating polished, professional-style cakes with clean finishes, structural support, and custom fondant details.

Throughout this 4-week course, students will learn advanced methods used in specialty cake design while continuing to strengthen their creativity, precision, and confidence as decorators.

Students will learn:
• How to make homemade marshmallow fondant
• How to properly roll, handle, and apply fondant
• How to cover both round and square cakes with smooth finishes
• How to stack and stabilize tiered cakes
• Structural support techniques for safe transportation
• How to create decorative fondant accents and embellishments
• Techniques for adding dimension, texture, and artistic detail to cakes

Participants will create and decorate cakes throughout the course while learning professional techniques used in custom cake design and presentation.

Students should already have foundational cake decorating experience prior to enrolling in this course.

All tools and supplies are included in the cost of the course.

Course meets once per week for 3 hours over 4 weeks.

This course is ideal for students who have completed Cake Decorating Foundations and Cake Decorating Techniques or who already have intermediate-level decorating experience and are ready to explore more advanced cake artistry and construction methods.

Cost: $510
