Here you will find all of our offered classes and a brief explanation of each class, what you will be learning, and what tools, items and experience you will need in order to be successful in each class.  Please feel free to email us at apieceofcake21@gmail.com with any questions you may have.

Cake Decorating Basics  (Cost - $85)

Cake Decorating Basics is a beginning cake decorating class that will introduce you to things like: how to bake a great cake; how to prepare icing bags; how to make great icing; how to torte, fill, and ice a cake; how to make roses and several other simple decorating techniques. This is a 2-hour, 2-day course which will meet once a week for two weeks. Students will be required to bring a basic set of decorating tools or can rent a basic set of tools for the duration of the course. Students can also choose to bring their own cakes and icing or can purchase a premade cake and icing from the instructor. All purchases or rentals of equipment must be made upon registration for the class. Registration must be completed 1 week prior to the first class.  Upon registration students will be sent an email confirmation and a list of supplies and a course description. A full refund can be obtained up to 4 days before the first class, after which only a partial refund can be obtained. After the first class a refund cannot be obtained. A credit towards another class of equal or lesser value can be obtained before the first class.  Any questions can be emailed to apieceofcake21@gmail.com.

A small tipped paint brush

Cookies and Royal Icing  (Cost - $50)

Cookies and Royal Icing is a Basic Cookie Decorating Class where students will learn how to make Royal Icing and use it to decorate sugar cookies. Students will be required to bring their own sugar cookies, but icing, and all tools will be provided. This is a 2-hour, 1-day course. Registration must be completed 1 week prior to the first class. A full refund can be obtained up to 4 days before the first class, after which only a partial refund can be obtained. After the first class a refund cannot be obtained. A credit towards another class of equal or lesser value can be obtained before the first class. Fun with Fondant (Intermediate Course)  (Cost - $100)

Fun with Fondant is an Intermediate Cake Decorating Course where students will learn the basics of: making your own fondant; how to prepare a cake and cover it in fondant; how to decorate cakes with fondant; basic fondant flowers. This is a 2-hour, 2-day course which will meet once a week for two weeks. Students will be required to bring a basic set of fondant decorating tools or can rent a basic set of fondant tools for the duration of the course. Students can also choose to bring their own cakes and icing or can purchase a premade cake and icing from the instructor.
